Attention to all Amtrak fans that are very big enthusiasts of the Phase 3 paint scheme. As you know, Amtrak has just repainted P42 #145 in phase 3 paint to celebrate it's 40th anniversary for a year long campaign. For all of the fans that miss those glory days when all Amtrak equipment wore those wonderful red, white, and blue stripes, I would like to urge Amtrak to not just have the phase 3 scheme for the anniversary, but to leave it on as an homage to Amtrak's history, and for all Amtrak fans who truly miss the phase 3 image, and has given many Amtrak fans like myself, many great memories. I don't know what this petition can accomplish, but after seeing countless comments on multiple videos and pictures stating how much rail fans miss Amtrak's old look, I think we should at least try whatever we can to preserve this classic image of Amtrak.
