Anyone who puts their lives in danger to help others should be protected

Everybody should have the right to protect yourselves. Emergency responders are meant to save peoples lifes. There are those that exist that believe first reponders shouldnt be able to save the lives of those they're trying to save. With the correct armor, look, and trust, we can protect our first responders from people like this.

There is no excuse for keeping the men and women who are there to save our lives, from keeping their own lives safe in turn. We can't make it up to you, but I will gladly sign in favor.

I'm a paramedic in butte county California, we have body armor. No reason why ems should not have it. You should get ballistic helmets too

Those who save lives already make a great dedication to society every day of their work. Let's make a small dedication to them, to at least lessen their risk in doing so.

It's sad that we even have to think about this kinda stuff. But sadly with rising assaults, and more violence towards EMS and emergency personnel, We have to make sure they are safe to keep others safe.

We cant waste good paramedics. Or not keep them safe. I say they should not do their job till they are given proper body armor

First line responders are not expendable. Feeling like you have the necessary gear to keep you safe in tense situations is immeasurably reassuring.

This should be a no brainer. Why not want to protect those that protect us?
