I'm for it - just don't want to have to wear one all day!

I believe AMR should provide bullet proof/stab proof protection for all EMT's and paramedics. Allowing your employees to purchase these with their yearly equipment/uniform allowance would create a safer work environment for all employees.

A good friend is an EMT in Portland- he should be safe at work and this is a necessity in this day and age. I urge the management of AMR NW to help and ensure the safety of these EMTs so that at the end of shift they get home safe to their families and not at hospital due to some misadventure that was out of their control. Thank you.

Please allow my son and all other medics to be safe and have body armor while they provide emergency care for others.

It's unfortunate but important to stay safe. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

As a former EMS provoder and having spent almost a decade at 911 I know first hand how dangerous things can get. Everyone should feel as safe as possible at work.
