Our medics are our heroes. I hope that we do everything we can to help them feel safe and protected in their jobs.

As a former Canby Fire Medic who also served three years as an armed Tactical Medic on the Canby Police TET team, this is an absolute must for today's street medics.

We can't afford to have even one paramedic injured or lost, especially if a possible solution is so simple.

My goodness I was shocked to find out that you were not provided vests. A vest should be part of the uniform.

In a perfect world a paramedic should never be in harms way. Nobody should. Since we do not live in a perfect world, please allow those who risk their lives and health this one added safety measure.

This is just a small step torwards making sure those who provide a great service to the community, can continue to do so with their safety in mind.

The safety of EMS is very important and they should be allowed any means that defensively gives them that ability.

Paramedics put themselves in harm's way to serve others. They deserve to protect themselves just like other first responders.

I would not go back into EMS without having this option for my safety. A vest is part of my optional PPE.

I fully support First Responders, EMT and paramedics wearing protective gear. Their lives are important and they are on the front lines!

This is great! So many times weve been "cleared" in and no one actually there at 1-8am with a 2 man crew with a 15 -40 min wait for any backup( other crew, pd, or fire). This would help with peice of mind with loved onse but also alittle for us on calls so we can fucus more on pt care.
Safety first, saving life second!
EMT's should be afforded this kind of protection!
They must be kept safe.

Absolutely! Sadly this has become a necessity.
