In a world with escalating social tensions and a family who works in emergency services, I highly approve of these vests.

I firmly believe that any 9-1-1 situation that either police or ems is dispatched at should have some level of protection. Police officer are almost always wearing body armor unless they're doing a plain clothes job. We should not put anyone in any sort of danger if they're being dispatched to a crime scene.

My deptartment is looking at purchasing body armor for us as well. Keep your workers safe and buy them what they need. Who responds if your workers cannot respond?

EMS personnel put their lives in danger enough as it is, it would be equally unreasonable to deny then gloves as to refuse them bodily protection when it is so easy to allow it. Allowing the option of body armor is not the same as mandating it; please allow them to continue doing their amazing work and give them the option of additional personal protection. Thank you.

Also an EMT, I can wear body armor on the job but can not conceal carry. A light armor under the regular uniform may be a great idea.

First responders can get into dangerous situations, and I will therefore urge for them to be able and to be allowed to wear bullet proof protection.
Do. It.
Please do the right thing and help them obtain the vests.
