I'm an EMT and firefighter. People in my profession deserve to stay safe. People sitting in comfortable government chairs should not make these decisions for them.

Paramedics and basically anyone who puts their life at risk to save others, automatically deserve the priority in regards to their own safety.
Whether this petition goes through or not, I'm just really grateful for these selfless people.

Its no different to a normal uniform, put it under the uniform if it's that big of an issue but your dealing with a rapidly increasing mental health crisis in every country.
These people may not be looking to harm a paramedic but it will happen, and that vest could save their life, either from death, from life changing wounds or a transmitted disease.
Just don't force people to choose between the job they love and their safety
