Fully support this, even thought I live in Norway, this should also be considered in the EMS here as well. Not for gunshots but knife/shank assaults.

I fully support this. Our paramedics also deal with people who are temporarily not in the correct state of mind, and may attack with a gun, or a knife.

Many Firefighters and Paramedics in Fort Collins have recognized the unexpected dangers that come with the job and have started wearing ballistic vests. It improves their safety with few drawbacks.
