Please reconsider this unnecessary cut we are dealing with the lives of the children who deserve to be educated at this fine institution. Removing the bus will cause undue hardship on families and kids , and essentially change the course of events of their future .

The taxes we pay for a school many of us never used is unfair enough. To remove a simple transportation benefit to others not burdening the schools resources further is idiotic. A full blown revolt is necessary and we should replace the entire school board asap

The Amityville School Board should think long and hard about budget cuts that would eliminate transportation to private schools. Continued mismanagement of our tax dollars in this district will have consequences when it comes time for budget and board elections.

It needs to be e figured out. Put a bunch of catholic schools together and meet up at a hub like I did when I was a kid going to sacred heart. We shared a bus with kellenberg

The existing bus transportation was a key factor in our decision for which high school our son would attend. It is deeply concerning that, due to budgeting mismanagement within the Amityville School District, families who rely on this transportation are now being penalized. Eliminating this service creates unnecessary hardship, impacting student safety, accessibility, and the ability for families to make informed educational choices. We strongly urge the district to find a more equitable solution that does not place the burden on students and families who planned accordingly based on the existing system.

Families chose Chaminade because it's a great school and that bussing was available. It's not fair to the children to take away this service now.

It’s unfair to the children. It will out unnecessary stress on an already difficult time in their lives. For the parents as well as they will need to seek alternate transportation or relocate their child to different schools.

Our taxes are through the roof. As senior citizens in this district probably are paying just as much in taxes as anyone else and we have no children in the district. The least we can expect is some compensation for our grandchildren. Please assure that busing to chaminade will continue.

Cutting bus service to private schools for the Amityville residents is unacceptable. We consistently support the district and ask very little in return.

There are numerous valid reasons why the bus transportation for Chaminade students should not be cut and only one reason the school board is choosing to cut it. The safety of all students should be a top priority and yet the the Board is choosing to put these children at risk to save a few dollars.

I will fight this with whatever evidence is needed. We pay tons of taxes so simple bus is all we are asking for. Choice is good. I am all for paying for public schools and live in Amityville knowing that quality of education was not up to my families standards. So we choose the option. All we need is to help parents make that choice. I prefer public but reality is you get better education from some of th private schools. I find it it embarrassing that all we are asking for is a bus for kids to choose when I know first hand we are send a bus with one kid to other homes. I have no problem with that but the people that pay the majority of taxes should get similar treatment. Double standard has to be stopped. I will pay for both just want equal treatment. Shame we even have to debate this.
