Americans Against Potbellied Pigs Slaughter

I'm trying to get a potbelly pig but am afraid that the zoning department won't let me keep her . i live in Homestead Florida and i have a large yard with a very friendly dog. i know for a fact that potbelly pigs are really smart and clean. I took my dog to meet Sussy the piglet and she loved her. so a'm trying to do everything i can to have my house properly zone for potbelly pig as a house pet/companion . any advise?

We don't need to be slaughtering ANY pigs no matter what species they are! Especially considering that pigs are the 4th smartest mammal on Earth, which means they are smarter than dogs. But yet we don't eat dogs? Come on now people! The human race is sick and deplorable, smh.

Please help me get my pig nutered !!!! I love him so much and he is a part of our family but he has a humping problem and I want to keep him I just need help getting him fixed.

These are beautiful animals and wonderful pets. Their species should be kept intact through our support.

I think we slaughter enough animals now, lets leave pet pigs alone.

I have a potbellied pig and he is just like a part of the family i love him as much as my daughters he has his own bed and everything i do not see how anyone can slaughter them

What a disgrace. I also own horses and am all too familiar with the fight re slaughter for human consumption. As a new piggy owner, I am horrified that this is happening with these VERY domesticated animals. I am very thankful to have stumbled across your website. Please keep up the great work you do!

Potbelly pig are a special breed, not the kind of pig you eat. These animals are like dolfins but pigs. They all have there special personality's

PB pigs are a wonderful edition to any family, especially to those who have tremendous problems with allergies as these cuties are truly hypoallergenic and SO loveable!

I have a pot bellied named Abby. No good information was found on her until 6 to 9 mo after we had her from a piglet. Today she is half wild but still the greatest pleasure of my retired life. I want and need another one for a full time house mate.

I adopted our Pot Bellied Pig from the SPCA 4 years ago and have enjoyed her intelligence as a member of our family more than being just a pet. She is housebroken and clean, remembers everything she's experienced and at no point will ever be a meal on some human's plate. I certainly wouldn't eat my dog so never should anyone eat an animal they call pet or adopted from a licensed USA shelter!

I am a proud owner of 3 potbellies. They are the most delightful pet in the whole world. They are my babies. Who in the world would want to slaughter them? SICK!!!

Adopted my Ollie when he was a baby and he's now 2 years old. He's amazing. So intelligent and loving. He makes me laugh every day. I will always have a pot bellied pig. I've had many different types of pets but Ollie is by far the most loving (yes, even moreso than dogs or cats).

My PBP's are the best animals I have ever owned. How could anyone even think to slaughter these animals. They are very smart and show lots of feelings. Mine are like children and even open the fridge to get treats. Best friends I've ever had. Hell to the NO!!!! Any folks who abuse animals for profit or slaughter should be shot!

their need to be laws against the indiscriminate breeding of potbellied pigs.Breeders need to pay HIGH license fees and even higher finesThey are too many abandoned pigs because the buyers didn't know what they were getting into.we need laws that forbid selling a pig under 8 weeks old.They are not like dogs or cats and are smarter than most of their owners.They are NOT food and should not be treated as such.We need to stop the slaughter of them and treat them like household pets like we do dogs and cats.
