I joined this year because I said I would if the club got PayPal and a website and at least attained the most basic technology. I don't know about the politics going on, but if leaders are past term and people feel that the club is being held back by leadership, then I do believe it's time for elections. Any leaders who want to keep their job and are doing a great job can run for re-election so it shouldn't be a problem. I really don't know what I am getting for my dues at this point, but I love the breed so it seemed like the right thing to do.

The "leadership" currently in place for this club is a joke, and has refused to listen to reason about bringing the club into the modern era. They are harming the future of the breed. I support and election to get this club on the right track, not for it's sake, but for the future of the Langshan breed in the United States.

Currently the "club" is dysfunctional. If goal is to promote the breed . Leadership cannot cling to the use of the club to promote their circles and not the breed at large.

I want this club to be fun for all. I feel like it has regressed into a dictatorship, and that doesn't help the breed. This is supposed to be fun guys. What in the world is going on????

Forward progress and new ideas and points of view, bring about new life and change. For the sake of improving the direction of the club, and protecting the integrity of the breed, I support elections of new officers.

Leaders should be motivators and should be open to new ideas and innovations. They should do all they can to inspire breeders and bring them into the club. I am new to the Langshan Club but I have well over 200 Langshans and they are my major breed that I raise and breed. I have contacted (and attempted to contact) several people in the past concerning doing a National Meet at our shows in Norman, OK and never received any interest. I believe in the old adage which says "Lead, Follow or Get Out of the way." I know this statement may seem harsh to some but reality is this, if you are going to have a club then by all means let's have the best. The good ole boy system of operating a club is good for the good ole boys and absolutely destroys a club which is trying to become the best. Just my opinion as a breeder, a show manager and a person who is trying desperately to build this breed into one of greatness. If you are one of th current leaders of this club I highly suggest that you not get mad at these statements but instead use these statements to excite you and think of the club first and then your on self interests secondly.
