I have been staring at the draft for this amendment for hours and keep wondering if the phrasing about non-sectarian language is clear enough for the committee members to actually grasp it. Sometimes it feels like we are just shouting into the void, but then I remember how many people have reached out to me with stories about their own school experiences, which is wild because I honestly thought I was the only one obsessing over this.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and it is wild how fast things are moving now. Sometimes I stare at the screen and just think about how many people actually care about this amendment because it felt like such a long shot when I first started typing it up on my laptop at midnight.

why are people fighting this? non-sectarian is the key here. fair for everybody.
Seems like a fair compromise to me. Hope this passes.
it is just two minutes. people need to stop being so sensitive about everything.
Finally some common sense. Let the kids speak for themselves.
The focus should be on helping students develop their own voice. This is a great step.

THIS IS LONG OVERDUE. let students have their say and keep it neutral.
