What is going down in Europe 21.april 2009 * The European internet is being threatened seriously! * The telecoms-package is a set of monstrous laws regulating the internet. * Amendment 138 is securing a fundamental rights. * If amendment 138 is excluded, internet will be turned into a cable-television system. What is amendment 138: Amendment 138 states that no restrictions may be put on users rights to access content on the Internet without a court order. In one sense, it re-affirms the existing legal situation. In another sense, it puts a barrier in the way of the French government and its plans for graduated response / 3-strikes (the Creation and Internet law).
