Please amend this ordinance to allow the Captain's Kitchen food truck back in Indian Beach.
He's just a local fisherman trying to earn a living like everyone else. His truck is clean, his people are friendly, the food is awesome, and the prices very reasonable !
Rumor has it the real concern is not "transient vendors" but the fact that he is taking business away from other local establishments. If the other establishments serve equally awesome food at equally fair prices there will certainly be enough business to go around.

Please allow ventors the right to sell their products Their food is priced reasonable and good. I think it brings the people to your beachr beach. What are your reasons to for shutting them down? COMPETITION....

Have heard about the quality and fair pricing of the food served at this business and am looking forward to getting down east soon /often to enjoy while we play at the beach.. also, now having heard of the Boss Hogg issues we will seek out the food truck and shun the other town business as a protest of anti American monopolizing of town ordinance. Had similar issues 20 years ago with Wrightsville beach parking meters and have not been back since.. towns should be careful of the damage they do with shortsighted ordinances and fees.

Captains Kitchen Food Truck is the best around. His food is A++ quality. Him and his Staff is friendly clean and they care. This truck brings business to your part of the Island. There is enough business on the Island for everyone.

It's a favorite! this friendly, quality, reasonably priced food service. Where they park is no hindrance to other businesses nor traffic. I enjoy grabbing a shrimp burger on to way to catch a sunset on the beach! I am in support to amend the Indian Beach mobile food vendor ordinance :)

I am on the island 4 to 7 times a week. it was great to see the food trailer set up shop. Great food at a good price and quick service. Other food places have great food, but not so great prices and the service time is way to long. I compliment the owners of food trailer for having the courage to start a business and set up shop. (the American way as I see it). I will not be spending anymore money at Indian Beach if food trailer is not allowed to be there. I am sure the amount I spend each day missing from indian beach cofferes will not bankrupt the city but I will feel better not supporting a community that will not allow a guy to open a new business and make a living.

What is the issue here? So this means that if Indian Beach has any town sponsored activities food trucks will not be allowed too? Put the food truck back in town.

The town should allow the food truck to operate. Many big cities have food trucks. We don't have a lot of options in our area for a quick bite to eat. If the Big Oak is unhappy, they should talk with Food Lion about Publix opening right beside them!

This is wrong, considering it was the deciding reason I was going to rent the condo in Indian beach during the summer months has changed. I will boycott Indian Beach and so will those I know. Good job to the town officials for allowing your mayors business, to prevail. If you want your hands in the tax jar, do so by charging a vendor fee. But don’t try and monopolize the mayors business.

The town needs to check get its town ordinances & priorities straight & allow this great food truck to operate here. Ps. The seafood is great & well priced!

Enough business on the island for everyone to have a piece of the pie! Maybe the brick n mortar stores need to step up their game if they're that worried...I eat at food trucks and local establishments equally!!
