The Captain’s Kutchen food truck was a very positive addition to Indian Beach last summer and had hundreds( probably thousands) of customers. I certainly hope they will be allowed to come back this year!! G. Edmondson, Mariner’s Point Homeowner

As a former resident of IB, I never thought there were enough quick, good, & reasonable places to eat other than chains. This is filling a big void and I have seen the positive impact food trucks serve communities in other areas. Help keep the market open and free.

SP needs conscientious food truck vendors like this. Provides another option for residents and competition keeps prices reasonable. Brings more people into the community as well, spending money with other local business. Good for the townspeople and town all around.

My husband and I own a vacation home at Emerald Isle. One of the things that we most look forward to when we are there is eating at the Captain's Kitchen at Indian Beach. We hope the proposed ban on vendors will not be enacted.

The captain’s food truck brings tourists from both ends of the island to the center of the island SPIB!!! Tourists will see the other shops and restaurants and will partake!! This makes OUR town a place to visit and come back again! Please let them stay!!

I am not a big food truck guy, but these folks have a quality product, and are making a bunch of folks happy. They do not pose a threat to the other restaurants in town. If anything, we need more places like this one. I see nothing but positive coming from this place.

As a property owner in Indian Beach, I support this amendment to allow food trucks with fewer restrictions.

Please amend this ordinance to allow the Captain's Kitchen food truck back in Indian Beach. He's just a local fisherman trying to earn a living like everyone else. His truck is clean, his people are friendly, the food is awesome, and the prices very reasonable ! Rumor has it the real concern is not "transient vendors" but the fact that he is taking business away from other local establishments. If the other establishments serve equally awesome food at equally fair prices there will certainly be enough business to go around.
