This petition is for anyone who is in the interested of supporting women's rights. House Bill 2 (HB 2) inhibits some of those basic rights that are given to women. This bill has gotten a lot of attention because it focuses on abortion clinics. Although HB 2 states that it is focusing on the "safety of women and the unborn", it is also inhibiting women from getting basic healthcare needs that those clinics provide. All but eight clinics have been closed due to HB 2 requirements for the entire state of Texas. Women who lack resources or live in rural areas will have an extremely difficult time getting to clinics for basic needs. If you are for basic women's rights, then this petition will help in helping women. Sign to amend House Bill 2 to remove the requirements that limit the clinics to only eight for one of the biggest states in the country.
