I believe the taxi laws, public transit laws and ride share systems need to be amended. For the good of public as well as the industry. In its current format it allows a dying industry to cling to life. Currently if a ride share program can meet the provincial and municipal laws in place and turn a profit at the same time then they should be allowed to continue. Things like commercial occupant insurance is there for a reason because it protects the driver and the customer. Where personal insurance does not cover either party if the vehicle was used for commercial purposes. But all parties need an equal opportunity to make a dollar.

People get rides daily here to there be it in or to an other district. Or from an other district from friends and aquaint ances who have less skill and vehicles in bad shape for a price that is never reported.. Where do you draw the line. The uber method brings in tax to the government and there is a safety built in with commets by previous riders about the vehicle and the drivers.
