Dear students of Sewanstraße,
Many of you have expressed difficulty in affording the laundry/dryer machine rates currently being offered by Studierendenwerk. Furthermore, the fact that a Mensa card, essential to doing laundry, can only be reloaded in certain points of Berlin that are significantly far from our dormitory, has only become increasingly difficult throughout the pandemic. With this petition, we want to bring to our administration's attention the difficulty that the students of Sewanstraße face for continuous months, for a seemingly simple and very essential task that is laundry.
We ask Studierendenwerk to do the following;
1. Lower the payment rates currently being offered for a round of laundry/drying.
2. Set up a possibility to charge one's Mensa Card on the Sewanstraße dormitory's premises, either with a contactless system, and/or online.
Please sign this petition and help our cause. The more of Sewanstraße's students make their voices heard, the higher our chances of ameliorating everyone's daily life in our dormitory.

We are currently drafting a formal letter to Studierendenwerk based on your feedback. Post this link on your building group chats and send an email to the administration demanding a change to our current payment methods.

I live in Sewanstraße 173. I have also lost money in the laundry machines multiple times due to technical issues.
Living in 181 and the card machine is always down. need a better way to pay asap
