Dear AMD,
We are loyal supporters to your company. We realize that if you go bankrupt, Intel will have little incentive to innovate or offer reasonable prices on their products. I think we can all agree no one wants that to happen.
Since bulldozer performs worse than previous generation chips however, we kindly ask that you do a die shrink of the current 45nm 6-core "Thuban" Phenom II X6 to a 32nm process and release it for the AM3+ platform.
It would be logical for you to lower prices on Bulldozer chips so they are cheaper than older parts which outperform them, at least until you can offer a revised version which offers better performance.
I have been reading through your stories about the performance bottlenecks you are hitting with the current hardware options. It is frustrating to see a company we admire struggle to prioritize the chips that actually keep our machines running at their best potential.

Seeing this level of support reminds me exactly why so many of us refuse to give up on the socket we love. It is clear that I am not the only one who see the potential for a better path forward.
