Amazon's YYZ1 location has had three confirmed cases of COVID-19 but are refusing to compensate their workers with an adequate pay during this time where cases are rising at an increasing rate. We are unaware of who has come into contact with the virus and who has tested positive, so there is anxiety and sense of fear if we have come into contact with the individual, and potentially bringing the virus home to members of our household. There are no protective measures taking place other than the enforcement of wearing masks and socially distancing from employees. However, there are over 350 employees in the warehouse at a time, employees who need to work to pay for living expenses, to provide food and shelter for their families, and other basic necessities where income is necessary. For this reason, I urge to you sign this petition and appeal for Amazon employees to receive the pandemic premium pay.

its honestly getting ridiculous at yyz1 we go home scared every shift not knowing if we caught anything just pay us the hazard pay already
The figure is rising by the day- situation is getting scary now - definitely, we need more protection and better pay.
Amazon needs to increase their wages due to covid 19 becasue every employee is taking a risk to come work.
They deserve the raise in this pandemic time as they are dealing with variety of products/items that comes from all over the world.
This is the 3rd instance of an employee having COVID on the premises and they do not tell us a name of the person and tell us to contact hr if we were in contact and we do not know I’m tired of risking my health for this and this needs to change
