You need the residents of Amarillo to buy into this team and this ball park. We need a better name for that to happen. It’s clear the current choices are not popular and will only hurt the teams chance for successful

I read Jackie Kingston’s FB post and there were better name in the responses that this list of 5. Amarillo Tumbleweeds would be great.

Those couldn't be any worse names - seriously, do you NOT want the team to win, or have anyone come to the stadium?? It's embarrassing and pathetic. How about Amarillo Gold, or Roadrunners, or Armadillos, or Dust Devils, or Tornadoes, or Ribeyes.....

Which names were thrown out? This team is a part of the San Diego Padres organization right? Then name it the Amarillo Gold Sox, Amarillo Gunslingers, Amarillo Dusters, Amarillo Bombers. Anything but the embarrassing names identified. What is going to be embarrassing; is when this makes National news.

I’m not crazy about any of the team finalist names! How about the Amarillo Steers? It’s simple and appropriate for where we live since Amarillo is the beef capitol. If we were to choose colors I would say black and gold.
