Those names that have been suggested are embarrassing and humiliating to the city if Amarillo and surrounding communities. We should be able to come up with something much better and more representing that what has been suggested.

I have lived in this area for 40 years and until yesterday had never heard the term sod poodle. I understand they want fun family friendly names, but these are just ridiculous.

I suggest the Amarillo Heat

There must be 50 names that would be better than any of the 5 being considered now. Here are s few suggestions. Amarillo Mustangs Amarillo Texas Tornado Amarillo Wind Amarillo Sand Storm Amarillo Solar Storm

Surely we could find something that’s a little more attractive for tourists or visitors .. not something that would be a laughing stock to the city. Those names are ridiculous . I am embarrassed to live here.
