The first 5 finalist names are absolutely horrible and completely embarrassing. It’s embarrassing for everyone in Amarillo but especially for the ball players. Is that really what the powers that be want? A name that will be the laughing stock of the MILB.

These names cannot and will not be taken seriously by anyone. Especially other teams. People flat out will not show up or buy merchandise with names like those.

Please reconsider. I prefer Atomics, Bombers, Prairie Dogs, DustBusters, Conquistadors. Lamer names like...Cows, Steers, Beef, Dogs, Cats, Possums...are better than the 5 finalists!

WHYYYYY. Just why. Please give us better options. Like the plainsmen, flatlanders, etc. . Just ANYTHING besides the weird looney tunes names we have been presented. Our town is already comedic for reasons it shouldn’t be. PLEASE don’t give our town team this bowl haircut of a name.
