We are an amazing town, we deserve better names than these 5. Lets be proud of our town and not be a joke. Its sad how our town has become a joke.

These names are complete and total trash. I sent in quality names that are great for a minor league team. These names are childish and embarrassing. Whoever decides which names are chosen did a horrible job!

None of the names picked are appropriate. I can give reasons why none represent Amarillo Those names are embarrassing and absolutely stupid. Long haulers does not represent Amarillo. A long hauler is a cross country trucker. Prairie dogs are despised by any landowner. Prairie dogs destroy the land they inhabit. JERKY. Are you kidding me? That does not represent the cattle industry. Ask any real cattleman. Bronc busters doesn’t represent our western heritage any more that bull riders or calf rovers. The last one was so stupid I can’t even remember it. But when I read I was amazed it was considered. I know out 3000 entries there had to be five that were better than. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE ONES YOU PREVIOUSLY CHOSE

I have never heard such horrible names for a team that will represent Amarillo. Can you imagine the embarrassment for the players and people of Amarillo. If you can’t come up with anything better there is nothing wrong with Amarillo Gold Sox’s. Please put somebody in charge that will select a name people will back and be proud of.
