Please throw out these five names and go back to the drawing board. As controversial as the stadium has been, the least that can be done is to name the team that all of the panhandle can be proud of.

Argh, these are terrible. I had one, but didn’t send it in cuz I didn’t think it would have a chance but it’s better than this! Mine, the Amarillo Zephyrs. The logo could be an A-Z thing with all kinds of promotional hype like best team from A to Z, etc. Come on people, we can do better.

While it will be hard to beat the Amarillo Dillas, even I can quickly think up a couple of names that at least have some zip to them: the Amarillo Bombers, the Yellow City Whackers (okay, not such a good one), the Amarillo Dust Busters.
