Amarillo Professional Baseball has chosen five finalists from over 3,000 entries in the "Name the Team" sweepstakes. These finalists are the Boot Scooters, Bronc Busters, Long Haulers, Sod Poodles, and the Amarillo Jerky. ALL OF THESE NAMES ARE HORRIBLE, to put it succinctly. They are embarrassing. They are hackneyed. We need to get the team name right.

We, the undersigned, hereby petition Amarillo Professional Baseball to go back to the drawing board and choose five better finalist options.
