1987/88 season I started watching Cardiff and I had the sponsored Echo shirt with bluebirds over the whole top. Looking back that was a horrible looking Jersey but I would be buzzing if they went back to THAT and wear it proudly.

Good luck to you from a club who knows at least part of what it means to lose a part of your identity. #saveourstripes

ridiculous, foreign owners should not be allowed to tinker with a clubs history as they see fit.

Interesting that Cardiff's "Fan leaders" are made up of ex hooligans. Sums that club up perfectly.

You would not see Glasgow Rangers switch to playing in red at Ibrox, there would be absolute anarchy. The fact that the colour of the Bluebirds has (hopefully temporally) been changed to red is as ridiculous as rewriting the history books. I suspect a bluebird like a phoenix will arise from the red ashes in the near future.

Personally I prefer the red, like most Cardiff fans I grew up watching Liverpool so it's a good link to them.

In ancient times, Celts painted themselves blue ready for battle. Never red. The red merely represented the blood that was spilled. As a club of Wales (a Celtic nation) give us the blue back!
