The growth in interest for this initiative has triggered a formal request for a meeting with the local city council members. I am currently drafting the proposal for a phased reduction of plastic bags to present during that discussion.

Literally tired of seeing these things everywhere in the park. My local shop started using paper ones and it works fine.
i feel like every time i go out i bring home 5 more bags i dont need. enough is enough.
plastic is killing our cows on the street. we need to stop using them now.
Plastic bags are reducing the already less amount of oxygen we have. Use bags which are eco friendly and also, bags made of jute or cotton last longer. Go green!
In my hotel I m using clothes bag... Instead of plastic bags... Previously I have used 50 micron plastic bags

Excellent idea!! Cloth bags are so much better anyway. #banplastic
