Mr. Brooks, through his posts and acts of selflessness in his community has raised the bar and continues to challenge those who follow him to live their best life by being the best they can be regardless of how many may have counted them out. His thought provoking messages posted daily on facebook and instagram challenges others to think outside the box and look at situations from a new set of eyes. Someone with all this talent should be allowed to put it to work the best way possible and that is through reaching the masses who are in need of a mentor, a motivational speaker and or a humanitarian who gives selflessly and elevates others while doing so.

I've seen Dorian be such an inspiration and positive influence to the community. We actually need more role models like him who have made regretful decisions in their past but recognized the depth of their mistakes and literally made a 360 degree change. It is men like him who can make such a change we need more of in the community to inspire others that they too can do the same.

I believe Mr Brooks did his time and should not go back to prison. Community service would be more appropriate

Dorian Brooks is not perfect but he has touched and changed the lives of others. He is always willing to lend a helping hand, he goes into communities and motivate and inspire others. He has stopped many fights, became a peace and an asset to our communities. Please allow my friend and mentor to continue on the positive path redemption

I am in full support of imposing an alternative to incarceration for Dorian Brooks. Dorian is a constant force of positivity. He has willingly decided to devote his life to educate and inspire others on many different platforms. His force has made a lasting positive impact on many, including myself. His style of inspiration is understood by many that might also find themselves in negative situations. This kind of an impact can serve to sway the decisions of many who might be headed in the wrong direction. The decision to allow Mr. Brooks to continue his legacy as a free mam is one that serves the greater good of many communities on a broad spectrum. Again , I support Dorian Brooks and am looking forward to hearing, and reading his next work of art as it is always a source of inspiration.

Dorian has a positive attitude and he is out here helping people and giving back to society. He has been an inspiration to lots of people. He's not selfish and when in need he is right there. We love his character very gentle and kind. Hes a wonderful person inside and out.

Community activist who made a transformative impact on those who might begin to believe that crime is the way to go.. The District Attorney job is to prosecute those that don’t uphold the law, Author Malik job is prevent the youth from coming to the courts, please see the good in that, and leave him on the streets.. Thanks!!!!

Words cannot express how much Author Malik has inspired me over the last year. I went through some rough times, and he never failed to encourage me to hang in there and stay focused on doing the right thing.
