I strongly believe on redemption and second chances. Author Malik Dorian has done positive works in the community. He is an agent of change that can inspire our youth not to make the mistakes he made. He can point out the negative influence of so called friends and the consequences of making bad decisions. I ask for leniency when his case is heard. Please allow him to continue his work as a motivational speaker for our youth.

When Dorian spoke at our School in New Rochelle It was a tearjerker to say the least. Great Man who deserves leniency.

It is with great pleasure that I get to join the many who sign in supporting the petition on behalf of Dorian Brooks. He is all that everyone states about his admired character, for he has truly demonstrated all that has been said, and will only echo the same sentiments in descriptive about his personality. Dorian and I are affiliated by way of a past social media platform; and as a co-owner of the Magazine, Dorian was a writing contributor & was chosen out of many based on the amount of positive & inspiring influences that he demonstrated with the influences to inspire our younger audiences, his stories of honesty & encouraging commitments to express change after incarceration was the personality traits that we need to fit into messaging for positive change as we were able to harness this positivity on Social Media and he was instrumental with success. I also support his Show entitled ~Just a Jewel~I share here in the State of Connecticut, I share them with some of the younger community. I sign my name to this petition in any supported efforts that would serve to have Dorian's case looked upon with special consideration for an opportunity to an alternative to incarceration.

Mr. Brooks impact on the youth and young men and women who have found themselves in similar positions to him is far to valuable for him to not be able to use his voice and story to inspire these young men and women to make better decisions. I have seen first hand his impact and think he deserves a opportunity to continue inspiring the youth.

Because of his empowerment and such great interest in the lives of women like me striving to better my life and knowing my worth today I can say I’m living a better and positive life. He has and is always there when we need that push and advise. I have great respect and wish you all the best. Keep doing your thing for our community. Dorian Brooks might be the most intelligent person that i know. And with him going to jail i feel will be the biggest injustice ever. Dorian need to remain out here doing the posistive work that he's doing with our youth.
