It’s become a tradition that if an athlete on the Kansas State Track Team was selected to be on the travelling squad for the Big 12 Conference meet that they would receive an alternate uniform and be able to wear it during competition. This year we got new alternate uniforms, they’re sweet; but are not allowed to have them for the conference meet. This petition’s purpose is to allow us (K-State Student Athletes) to wear our alternate jerseys proudly at the conference meet this weekend.

The feedback I have received from fellow athletes highlights how much these uniforms symbolize our dedication to the team. I am currently reaching out to the athletic department to discuss the possibilities for our conference appearance.

The new ones look way better than the standard kit. let them wear them
I’m not competing, but I want my teammates to be rewarded for all the hardwork they put in to representing our school.

PLEASE let the team wear the alternates! they worked so hard all season and deserve to look good for big 12s.
