What about an indoor rec center for super hot/windy/stormy/icy days?? Some days it is too dusty to play outside, children who have asthma can't do dust storms. A climbing wall (with harnesses and safe landing pad), a crash pad, things which allow gross motor movement to help our children be more active when it is too gross to go outside.
There are very few climbing options for our children in town at all - children want to climb.
Yes to water fountains, shade, field repairs, restrooms, grounds improvements all over. Pool repairs, getting the kiddy pool part running again, all great.
No splashpad in the desert - the upkeep and cost would be prohibitive and it is incredibly wasteful when we are trying to teach water conservation. The evaporation rate is very high in the summer when we have low humidity, unless it was an indoor affair it would be ridiculous.

Alpine needs this. Our kids need this. We need to expand and give our kids so meh if to look forward to every year. Its starting to get boring and some people dont have the money to go out of town to water parks.

I feel that money could be used on way more than just a trail. Our kids need something to get them excited. Either update/upgrade the community pool, or a more interactive playground for littles and older kids.

Yes! Alpine needs walking, biking, running trails. I'm an runner and have loved the small loop trail, but would love a safer longer route thru Alpine.

I think a venue for kids and Young Adults would be a lot more beneficial to our community than a walking trail. There is a nice walking trail at the park area now...used by many now.

Baseball softball complex. This would be my vote for this money. Our fields Are way outdated and we need more fields for tournaments. Thanks

Alpine is NOT San Antonio, and San Antonio's suggestions for our small city should not even be considered. PLEASE ... request input from the citizens of Alpine for the preferred use of the $215,000 money left over after Fire Department gets $185,000. Thank you.

We need baseball fields. If we could host tournaments in Alpine that would generate more income for local businesses and hotels. Plus little league and softball leagues run out of fields to practice on. We had 4 teams ( 2 softball 2 little league)practicing on our field we built. Some couldn't even practice on one of the city fields because the stickers were so bad. My vote is put in a baseball/softball complex.

We do not need a walking trail. Hiking facilities have been placed throughout alpine and the big bend national park for these purposes.

I don't think we should let the city officials who sold out private property owners should ever be let near ANY off the money involved with etp. Alpine has a history of officials with their hands in the cookie jar, gonna need checks on where the money actually goes. It's not really much money, especially compared to the billions this pipeline will make the owners in it's lifetime. So choose wisely. Money will be gone quick, it's a pittance....don't get too many caviar dreams, we got bent over!
