Currently, Alpha Secondary is under the Linear system of schooling. However, there have been talks about Alpha coming under the branch of semester schooling. Some negatives include: -AP courses will slowly start to decinergrate, due to the fact that you will forget everything you have learned if you had that course in the first semester, but if you have it in the second semester, there will not be enough time for your studies, since the exmas are in May -Having PE everyday for one semester, and not having any physical activity in the next is not a healthy choice -Yearbook Class would be distrupted, because events happen year-round and deadline is in March -Fine Arts classes, especially ones with performances during the time of their 'off-semester' would not be able to perform as well as they should -If one has Math 8 in the first semester of one year, and Math 9 the second semester of the second year, that would leave a year of gap for students to forget, and a painful headach for teachers to review Many current students are already planning to change schools for the above reasons, and if we do not show the administrators that we do not want Alpha to become semesters, there will be no hope.
