Allow youth to play/attend ranked tournaments

Please have the age restriction removed. The youth are at a perfect age to learn the game. Banning them is like Bullying them. We need to Empower them. Get them off the couch and involved.

Supporting family during a competition should be allowed.

The Mackenzie rule was a terrible decision and makes NDFC and the women look bad! So it is simple - let the youth play but just like an amateur in other sports they cannot win money / collect ranking points. The adults still get all the rewards based on their relative positions as though the juniors were not even there. The juniors get the experience. You've embarrassed the women who didn't complain about Mac and the youth who deserve to be encouraged and respected for their skills.

Youth players and/or their parents should have the right of choice. If they feel the youth player is capable to compete in ranked tournaments and are willing to spend the effort/money to attend, they should be able to choose to play. As well, the venue has the right of choice to who they allow in their venue (according to their liquor license as well as their insurance policy) and the right of choice to ask anyone present to leave the premises for whatever reason they feel necessary. Restricting the youth to play limits the growth of darts - closing doors and opportunities for the youth. To ban the youth completely in any venue with a Darts Ontario sanctioned tournament is closing so many additional doors to some amazing experiences.

when I was younger, I never really had the opportunity to play as a youth player. I spent most of my time playing in my basement alone. Tournaments and competition is a huge part of developing a great dart player. I think it's very important for youth players to be allowed to play in ranked tournaments because a competitive surrounding with stronger players is what will bring the best out of young players.

Let the youth play. Its a game that everyone enjoys to play and have fun. So let them PLAY!!!!!!

I recently just came out of youth and I believe it is fair for youth to be apart of adult tournaments. It will give them experience that they could use to improve there own shot, if it wasn't for me playing in some adult tournaments I believe I wouldn't be as accomplished as I am today

I can think of no reason this benefits the game of darts. Not sure how anyone gains from such a decision. Suspect it's self-serving in some manner or fashion.

How do they expect the youth to want to play darts if the youth don't get the opportunity to play in competition and just not for fun? I see some very good youth shooting darts today wishing they could play in tournaments.

I was a former youth as well, givin the opportunity to make it big, I had other plans in life to raise a family ! As I slowly get back into the game, I'm reminded of my experience as a youth and being able to play against the adults , making my caliber exceed . I see so many youths joining but no real tournaments to compete it !!!! I say let them play

Taking away a passion as a child to compete at much higher level may cause loss of interest by the time they reached restricted age.Reason for tournaments is to test our skills with others...How do you expect them to get any better.Its like telling a hockey player that he cant play in NHL til he is 20 yrs old and not giving him chance to leave PeeWee house league til he does alot of wasted talent wouldnt make it to NHL due to lack of competitive challenging.
