we are busy preaching from our pulpits about how Holy Prophet “liberated” women in the Stone Age... we are busy pointing fingers at the non Muslim communities in their dealings with their women... we should preach to ourselves now! Salaams, women are 50% of the khoja population. Ensuring their ability to vote ensures that the welfare of our women and girls are always at the forefront, and their voices are heard. Women go through many unique challenges. It would be a shame for them to not have a platform in their own community, which is often the most viable place for their issues to be addressed.

I am shocked that this is something still happening... Living in Canada I had no idea that our jammats elsewhere do this.. For as far back as i can remember growing up, I have always been voting in our jamaat elections here

Sad this never have been issue about time we realise that they ,women are integral part of over jamat and should be part of decision making
