Our daughter is a 15 and signed up for drivers ed. We would really feel safer if she could have as much Supervised time behind the wheel before she obtains her license.

My daughter has waited for 3 1/2 months for her permit and the DOL won’t open before she leaves the state to spend the summer with dad. This would give her time to practice with dad.

I agree! My son has finished the instruction part of his training and now just needs to schedule his drives for learning. Hard to learn without a permit!

It is ridiculous that DOL gave waivers and online options for every other possible action EXCEPT instruction permits.

This is a great idea and I believe this plan should carry out as fast as possible. Students are getting behind as in Washington you must have your instructions permit 6 months before your drivers license.

I just did the math. There are only 81 appointments available per location each week in July for all the DOL services (licenses, permits, commercial driver's licenses, etc). It will take all summer at three locations for just our students to get their permits (let alone all the other driving schools competing for these appointment slots). Please allow temporary online instruction permits immediately.
