My daughter needs to be able to practice the skills she is learning in class in real life! There can be no covid related worries with an online process for the permit and driving practice already is limited to people who would qualify for existing health guidelines.

Please issue learner’s permits, for my kiddo has now finished her drivers ed course and has been u able to practice driving, which is the most important part. For the safety of the students and the public, please issue these online if the DOL offices are not going to open.

My son needs to be able to practice driving with us as well as participate in the instructor led drives required for defensive driving school he is currently enrolled in. We already signed up online for the permit and did all the paperwork required for that. I believe the permit number from the DOL should suffice until further accommodations can be made. Adding unneeded stress to my life and the online classes should be pairing with the practice driving. So there's experience to aid in the academic learning.

I have a 15 and a half year old and this would have greatly helped some of our friends be able to complete the drivers courses and help families take care of this fun milestone during a time when so many parents are home.

My son needs to learn to drive despite the shutdown of DMV as a useful agency during the pandemic .He needs to start working on his 50 hours of practice .

Permitted drivers already need to have a driver who has been licensed for 5 years in the vehicle with them while driving. This should provide enough assurance that online permits would be sufficient until a driver is permanently licensed.
