My son would have been able to obtain his driver's permit in Spring if the government had not shut down all offices and businesses. I have been practicing driving with him for three months and he is a conscientious and careful driver. Please allow an on-line no photo permit.

We can’t get an appointment and our son has completed his class but still cannot practice driving.

It is an absolute must to allow permits without a picture. The kids can use their school ID plus the registration form.

Please temporarily simplify the process of helping new drivers get time to practice driving. Since traffic is reduced during COVID, now's a good time for new drivers to get some practice with emptier streets.

It is very important for us to be able to get our permits and get our drives going. Alot of us are going to be seniors and not having the dol open is pushing us back from going to where we need to go....literally. If fast food is considered "Essential" then permits and licenses should also be on that list. we need this bill to get passed so we CAN become adults and actually do things. Alot of us worked very hard for the 625$ and having the DOL closed is making us suffer

It is a shame that the state was not able to figure out a solution to obtaining an instruction permit and license while schools were able to figure out how to continue educating. We are now through the online course for a new driver in our home and wish we could have been practicing driving during the pandemic with fewer drivers on the road and more parent / schedule flexibility. Please sign the petition now that we are in 'Summer' with fewer opportunities then ever before to gather with friends. Allowing our youth to utilize this family time by learning how to drive great alternative during this pandemic to seeing and gathering with friends. This is the best time to move forward to allow our youth to become more independent.
