Cairo has been a family establishment for almost a decade that had not only brought a great space for local bands to west Chicago but also brought an experience type that is not easiy to find in West Chicago. I have lived in West Chicago my whole life and have never seen the city act like this over any other establishment. Wnj ate we bordering on harassment to a lovely family company who has raised money for countless foundations with their shoes and events. Shutting then down and keeping them shut down is just an insult to the people of west Chicago and all of the people this family and company has gone out of their way to help. If you are going to treat them one way you better follow suit and treat every bar and entertainment venue the same.

This company and the people who are behind it provide a safe haven for our community, they are causing no harm. Please let them stay open. They’ve been open for a long time and provide an outlet for creative and like minded individuals to network with one another and share their love for the arts.

Cairo has been considered one of my homes since 2019, and is verifiably the only venue I'll make last minute plans to go to. Please don't kill live music in the burbs. There is NO other venue within 30 mins of Aurora that regularly hosts bass shows

Cairo Ale House is a musical destination in West Chicago. Please consider the repercussions to the city’s reputation in the arts community, the loss of tax money generated by property taxes and liquor and food sales, and the political future of the mayor and city council people if this small family-owned business is forced to close its doors due to an unjust targeted new ordinance. As a small business owner, I rely on the Cairo Ale House to provide a stage to our student bands in a real rock venue. I think it is a shame that the city is actively persecuting this small business after Cairo managed to survive the struggle associated with pandemic shutdown. I, for one, will not forget or forgive this action, and I will make sure my friends and family will remember when it is time to vote for local representatives. Please do the right thing and support the Cairo.

Cairo Ale House is one of few live music venues in the area that is genuinely of and for the people who come to see the shows. I have personally attend a charity events, concerts, celebrations, and all kinds of unique forms of entertainment at Cairo for over a decade. Let the music play.

Cairo has been apart of my life for awhile now! Nothing but good has come out of it. I don’t want to see this place of love and respect to get shut down for good.
