Cairo has been such an important venue to so many people. I understand that the issue was a noise complaint. Speaking as someone who normally wears earplugs to shows, I do not have to do this at Cairo. I actually really appreciate that I'm able to enjoy the music without the distortion of earplugs because their shows are at a reasonable volume.

some of my best memories have been at the Cairo. They’ve helped me by giving me an opportunity to improve my stagehand skills as well as working with talented audio engineers.

Cairo has been a diverse community business for over 15 years and has been helpful to many. Great food and music! Please let them reopen so that they can continue providing the West Chicago and surrounding communities with a diverse artistic outlet.

This is one of the best venues in the suburbs and it would be a shame to see it go!

Cairo has been a vital and important part of the community in the Chicago-land area. Providing an outlet for art and higher level thought in the community. Acting as a gathering grounds for forward thinking entrepreneurs. The Cairo has always been a safe and expressive space. There are hardly any residential homes nearby and all the businesses in the strip mall close when the Cairo is in operation.
I know the community is willing to work with the city of given the chance. Please don't let us down

This business is far more beneficial to the community than these complaints against them accounts for. Please do not take away this wonderful, inclusive, welcoming space that allows for all sorts of artistic expression.

I have been to this establishment many times over the years. Not only was this built from the ground up by an amazing family, but it’s been a safe space for people to gather, have drinks, eat some food, and listen to great music. The Massih family have poured their heart and soul into Cairo, and West Chicago needs to know that it’s needed in the community and it’s important!
