I believe that under the premise of proper health and social distancing measures, allowing cross-country running competitions is extremely low for the public who participate in the risk of contracting the new crown virus, and cross-country running competitions are beneficial to the public's physical and mental health.
Since March 2021, a total of 3 local events have been exempted. So far, there have been no cases of spread of the virus in the community or health declarations.
I sincerely request the Home Affairs Bureau, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and relevant government departments to allow trail running competitions under certain health, hygiene and safety conditions.
