These students have dedicated years to their academic success and to representing Patel with integrity and hard work. While accountability is important, the additional punishment of excluding them from graduation ceremonies serves no constructive purpose and undermines the spirit of education — which includes learning from mistakes and moving forward. I urge the administration to show compassion and allow these students to walk the stage with their peers. Let this moment be a lesson in growth and redemption, not in disproportionate punishment.

Let them walk, bad behavior isn’t a reason to not let them walk. This is their GRADUATION DAY. Just let them walk, it’s not that big of a deal…

I believe that five day suspension, no problem and no senior breakfast is consequences enough for these young ladies. They have been outstanding students and I think they deserve the recognition to walk for graduation.

These are good girls who have shown up for Patel for 4 years. Their parents have supported them and the school. Not allowing them to walk after all they have put in will not only impact them on the day, it will impact them forever. Their families are also being punished. As a mother of 2, I would be beyond devastated. The punishment does not fit the “crime” and should not be something that takes away a monumental life moment. Please reconsider.

They have been punished with a five day, suspension and being barred from senior prom and their clap out. They should be allowed to walk the stage.
