On April 21-24, the east coast of Australia was hit by a huge storm, causing major and minor flooding in populated areas. Many people are unable to dispose of water-damaged furniture and other items, due to the cost of taking them to local tips. Some councils have allowed small amounts of the poplation to be eligible to have these items picked up by council members.
