The Apple Tree had taken what was an unused eyesore of a building and turned it into a place where people can meet, eat, and enjoy time socially. As a local business it brings revenue into the area for both the owners and their suppliers. The extension of the licence would provide the village with a sophisticated venue for occasional events which is lacking in both Ockbrook and neighbouring Borrowash and should be encouraged.

Why should 1 person ruin someone's else's future

This is a wonderful little shop and tea room and I can see no reason why an alcohol licence should not be granted.

People like myself who don't drink alcohol would like to be able to socialize with friends who do drink in a place that offers better non-alcoholic provisions than most pubs!

I've had lovely, civilised and very tasty evenings at the Appletree. It's a perfect village cafe and the Bistro style evenings are great. Can't see the problem?

This is s beautiful little tea rooms and would only benefit the local area for people to attend until later in the evening. It would also encourage people to walk if local enough or to use a taxi if coming from further afield instead of parking nearby

I fully support this business and their commitment to develop. Villages need exactly these types of professional, responsible and classy entities to encourage local engagement as well as a village feel. It also encourages a community spirit and enables local people to make a living.
