I’ve worked with Patient Transport for roughly seven months now and believe that the personal appearance policy regarding tattoos being visible is in desperate need of a change. I have had numerous compliments from patients regarding my tattoos and it’s a great introduction into conversations I can have with the patient. My goal is to get as many signatures as possible so when I schedule a meeting with HR to present my findings, I can help inform them that people don’t mind if their healthcare providers have tattoos and in fact enjoy seeing them.
