Allow roosters and more than 4-6 hens in North Port with a permit

I agree. Dogs are very annoying and loud. Everytime I go into my yard I have 2 large dogs next door bark at me the whole time. At least a rooster doesn't spend all day crowing. I'm fine with it!

Our family goes through more then 4 eggs a day in North Port. We would love to face up to 8 chickens

I completely agree! I would add, my quiet Buff Orpingtons are probably completely unknown by most of my neighbors in stark contrast to the many noisy dogs (which I am in no way complaining about.) also, would appreciate less restrictions for placement of the coop as well as the overall oppressive feel to the need for legal submissions to this. I mean, I do fear they could take away our right to have our flocks and they are family. I’m not giving them up. A basic understanding of sprawl’s detrimental effects on our planet might also lead the observer to take up interest in composting, and a less aggressive mindset toward wildlife passing through ‘our’ yards.

We had chickens growing up and our children did as well, we knew what time the kids got home because our Bantam rooster roosted in the tree by our bedroom and he would crow when someone came into our secluded driveway ! Sure miss those times!

Absolutely we should be able to raise chickens for eggs . More dogs out there running loose on the streets...dogs are noisemakers I have 2 ! As long as someone conforms to caring for the chickens and a rooster it should never be a problem.

The chickens are not loud. I think its calming. Hearing dogs bark all the time is annoying.
