The WCS encourages its students to always be "open-minded" and, arguably most importantly, respectful to other regardless of gender, race, or faith, and I fail to see the school itself taking it's own beliefs into account. Although not being religious myself, I wholeheartedly believe religious people should be given the right to worship whenever, and wherever they need to in order to be fulfilled, and I find it disgusting that prejudice such as this has happened at the school I attend, and I am sorry to all the students heavily affected by the actions taken by the school and I'm signing this petition to say that I disagree with these actions, too. On top of the 300 who have already decided to fight against this.

Schools, such as Winston, have a legality to align to the Equality Act 2010 and Public sector Duty Act

I am signing this petition in full support of allowing prayer in schools because students should have the basic right to practice their beliefs without interference. It is absolutely disgraceful and deeply disturbing that students were disrupted while praying—an act that is peaceful, personal, and meaningful to them. The idea that young people can be interrupted or made to feel uncomfortable for expressing their faith is frankly shocking and unacceptable. Schools are supposed to be safe, respectful environments, yet situations like this show a clear failure to uphold those values. Preventing or interrupting prayer doesn’t promote inclusivity—it undermines it, and no student should be treated this way for simply practicing their religion.

This should be legally questioned as it is against human rights and is morally unjust! All schools should accept and support beliefs, religions and cultures of their students to create an inclusive community.
