To: The Kennel Club

We, the undersigned, call upon the Kennel Club to reinstate The Poodle Club of Wales as a dedicated club to serve the interests of Poodle owners, breeders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts in Wales.

For many years, Wales has had no dedicated Poodle Club of its own. The original Poodle Club of Wales was amalgamated into the South Western Poodle Club, leaving Welsh Poodle enthusiasts without any genuine representation.

Currently:

• There are no Poodle Club events held in Wales.

• There is no Welsh representation on the committee of the amalgamated club.

• Wales is left without a voice, despite England having over ten Poodle Clubs.

We believe this is both unfair and detrimental to the promotion, support, and celebration of the Poodle breed in Wales. Our dogs — and their owners — deserve the same recognition and opportunities as those in other parts of the UK.

We urge the Kennel Club to:

1. Approve the reinstatement of The Poodle Club of Wales.

2. Ensure Welsh Poodle owners have direct representation through their own club.

3. Support the growth and promotion of Poodle activities, shows, and events within Wales.

Wales deserves its own Poodle Club.
