Allow Outside Recess in Winter with Snow at NPT

Just been in Sweden, where the children 2 yr and up, ALWAYS is outside during recess! They learn to dress themselves earlier, no obesity, healthier and preform better in school. So if it is 30F, did you as a child get frostbite??! Let them play and be children!!!!!

I would like to see the kids get some fresh air for a few mins

Recess is a healthy and necessary part of the day.

I want my daughter to be able to play outsie if the temp is over 32 F.

If the temp is at or above 32, our kids should be outside!

Children need fresh air and studies have shown they perform better on school work after a little exercise.

I would like my child to be allowed to go out for recess even if there is snow on the ground

For example - at Dickinson, they might even be able to take a "walk" around the school on the paths to get some exercise and fresh air. My son plays outside almost every day after school , but at this time of year there is not much daylight left by then,

I completely agree with this petition and feel this is very important for growing children.

I remember making snow men and snow women on the playground at recess...what a great time and wonderful memory!

Kids need to get out in the fresh air.
