Fanfiction.net is a online communal effect to post one's own fan story or gives the opportunity to read others. Recently Fanfiction had been going around it's own site and deleting stories that had fallen what they categorize as being MA.

 "Not suitable for children or teens below the age of 16 with non-explicit suggestive adult themes, references to some violence, or coarse language. Fiction M can contain adult language, themes and suggestions. Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA" - http://www.fictionratings.com/


 I post fan stories of where two people had fallen in love deeply and they want to take their relation further; or someone who writes a very detail violent scene on where someone was eaten alive (zombie fandom FTW). Also I am not the only one who loves to write fan writing for these things as well.

What disappoints me that Fanfiction doesn't give us the chance to upload MA fanficiton nor provide it., and we as authors who more write in the MA category is FORCED to submit to the M rating. Well, yes I could go to adultfiction and get an account there; but Fanfction.net is a more neat and organized website where I can find all my pairings and fandoms.


At the guide lines they clearly state that they base their rating base off those of http://www.fictionratings.com/ (copy and pasta URL to see link). Where it goes from K-MA and it clearly shows to it is done by the same people who runs fanfiction.net. Fanfiction also states that: FanFiction.Net adopts the rating system from FictionRatings.com. Then below it says this: Please note FanFiction.Net does not accept explicit content, Fiction Rating: MA, and the rating is only presented for reference. If they follow a rating that goes that high; then why do they remove the right for authors to post MA, when clearly the other (I guess 100% they own that website 'FictionRatings') one does?

Let me tell you this. That is clearly unfair and they know it as much as we do.

So why do we let them step on us and remove the MA stories that we are forced to submit in M rating when they don't give us a fair chance to submit these stories in MA in the first place.

It is a very emotional ride for authors who was forced to submit a MA story in a M category one to have all reviews and chapters deleted on them for a reason that they couldn't control.

That is why I want you. YES YOU. A fellow writer to sign this petition for the freedom of writers on Fanfiction.net to give us the rights to submit fanficiton in MA category.
