Bad idea.
Yes, we have cloud storage but some computers on campus are unreliable as they have slow speeds and struggle even writing our tests, sure banning laptops in exams is completely understandable but for class work It will not hurt anyone nor distract us (It in fact does the opistite and instead encourages us to make notes.

I don't think that this is a good idea to ban laptops which are especial devices for higher educations nowadays, it limits the students if such a ban is in place.

Laptops are crucial in studies and Belgium Campus is the first university I’ve ever heard of to ban them. Disappointing to hear.

If students want to work on their private PCs, let them, it lets the other PCs not have as many people on them a day and can safe resources and power, while letting students do work more efficiently on their own private PC’s which they can safe work for later.
